Link to one of your posts

Ctrl+Shift+K links to another post without leaving the keyboard.

1. Select the text you want to become the link, or leave nothing selected to use the post’s title.
2. Press Ctrl+Shift+K, or right-click and choose Link….
3. Type part of the post’s title and press Enter.

The picker writes the link in one of three formats, chosen at the bottom of the picker and remembered for next time:

Note

Astro links pages by their URL. A stock Astro site serves a relative .md path or a wikilink as written, which is a broken link, so Page URL is the safe choice unless your theme handles the others.

Link to anything else

• Ctrl+K wraps the selection in [text]() and puts the caret where the URL goes.
• Paste a URL while text is selected, and the text becomes a link to it.
• Copy heading link in the command palette copies a link to the heading the caret is in, with the anchor your site generates for it.

Renaming keeps links working

When you rename or move a post, Zeku updates the links to it across your site:

• A page URL link follows the post to its new URL, so /blog/old-name/ becomes /blog/new-name/. If the post sets its URL with a slug field, its URL doesn’t change, and neither do the links.
• A file path link gets the new path.
• A wikilink gets the new name.

When the rename changes the post’s slug, Zeku also adds the old slug to the post’s redirects field, so a theme that reads it can send old links to the new page. Change the field name, or turn this off, in Settings > Usability > Redirect frontmatter key.

Broken links

The Links tab of the right panel lists the open post’s links, and flags any that point at a file that doesn’t exist. The SEO audit checks internal links too.
